Summer Season

The Summer Season

Think the summer season is only about high grossing, action-packed blockbusters on the big screen? Think again, here are my Top-5 tv shows in: The best summer shows on TV :

5.The Middleman

The Middleman is an hour long Sci-fi comedy based on graphic the novel series by Javier Grillo-Marxuach. It is about a Quick-witted struggling artist, named Wendy Watson that is drafted by The Middleman, a milk chugging, wholesome superhero working as his sidekick. Together, they keep humankind safe from comic book-type villains.

The series consists Fast-paced action with very humorous and witty dialogue. The characters are a joy to watch and while their battles are funny in the way that all superhero battles are funny, they take the extra care to not take it so seriously.the banter also keeps everything from feeling redundant. This show is currently in it's first season, airing Monday at 10/9c on ABC Family.

4.My Boys

My Boys is a comedy that follows PJ (Jordana Spiro), a twenty-something professional sportswriter who is looking for love within her world which is dominated by her group of male friends. Her tomboyish, no-nonsense approach to relationships tends to freak out potential suitors which leads her only female friend to advise her to dress and act more feminine.

The show is kind of an interesting take on the buddy comedy. PJ is the girl next door with a tom-boyish twist. It also has great one liners and is really in its own league. You can't compare another show to it and say it sucks cause it isn't a girlie show. It's called My Boys for a reason and it shows it in each episode. every episode leaves me filled with laughter. It may have it's corny moments but it has a relate-able cause that makes sense to some or maybe a lot of people outside of baseball. This is a truly a unique comedy that i hope is on for long time. This show currently airs in its third season Thursday at 9/8c on TBS.

3.In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight is an hour long crime drama follows the story of a Federal Marshal ,Mary Shannon with the Witness Protection program who must hide her high-risk, high-impact job from her family. This also series deals with the struggle Mary has doing her job while trying to maintain a personal life and a relationship with her dysfunctional family.

The spotlight of this show goes to Mary McCormmack as she portrays the flawed yet likable Federal Marshal. Plus the chemistry Between Mary and her partner Marshall is amazing. It is like they have known Each other for years. But the most interesting part of this tv show is the love triangle between Mary her on and off again boyfriend and her sister. Catch it Sunday 10/9c on USA.

2.Weeds

Weeds is a dark comedy about single mother Nancy Botwin who makes ends meet by selling marijuana in the fictional suburb of Agrestic, California. The series exposes the dirty little secrets that lie behind the pristine lawns and shiny closed doors of homes in the of this gated community. The series progressed leading up to her moving to Ren Mar on the cost of the Mexican border where she is now trafficking marijuana

This show is thought provokingly good. Really, so many of the decisions made are poorly, so many of the characters do very stupid things. But you can't help loving them and you can't help loving the plots. This is a smart, very funny, sexy and sophisticated show. Catch At 8/7c on Showtime.

1.Psych

Psych is stars James Roday as Shawn Specncer , a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara, California Police Department (SBPD) whose "heightened observational skills"and impressive detective instincts allow him to convince people that he is psychic. The program also stars Dule Hill as Shawn's best friend and reluctant partner Burton "Gus" Guster.

Psych is a refreshing and entertaining crime comedy. the best part of the series is the the relationship between Shawn and Gus. They form sort of an odd couple kinship that reflects well in the series. The supporting cast is very good. I liked Lassiter is disconcerting to see him as a not-so-nice guy, but his character has a few redeeming qualities.Psych is on at 10/9c on USA.
